And because everyone had so much fun during filming, we thought it would be nice to tell you a bit more about the day and the Bernard Matthews Farms staff who appeared in it.
Find out more about our tasty new range

Fifteen people from our farming, production and commercial teams volunteered to take part in the ad and show how proud they are to work for us. It shows our staff taking our new tasty Big Green Tick range to a camp site for real families to enjoy.

For all but two of the staff featured this was their TV debut, so there was lots of excitment. Despite not having glamorous dressing rooms like George Clooney would, our budding stars managed to enjoy themselves filming on a good-old British campsite. Even the typically British rain didn't dampen their spirits as the heaven's opened at the appropriately named Heaven's Farm in Sussex.

But as Victoria, Project and Auditing Manager on the Agricultural Team explains;

"We in the agriculture team are used to working with the unexpected nature of, well...nature, thanks to life on the farms"

For two staff, this was the second time in 25 years that they'd starred in a TV commercial while working for us! Back in 1982, Gary, Sales Planning Assistant and Jayne, a Lab Technician appeared in the Worker's ad. The day was a chance for them to reflect on the things that have always been great about Bernard Matthews Farms.

"It was really nice to be involved in the TV ad and show the public that we really do work here, and are proud of what we do - like producing this new healthier Big Green Tick range." Jayne

The families of keen campers who joined us for the filming said they were nervous. But as everyone got to know each other during the day the butterflies soon disappeared and were replaced by delicious Big Green Tick food that we served under the shelter of a marquee. This warmed the families up and the food was thoroughly enjoyed by all, as you can see in the ad.

In between takes there was plenty of fun to be had as the campers joined our staff for a splash about in the muddy puddles, particularly the children who, as you can imagine, got very messy!

All in all, it was a great experience for our workers and the camping families on the shoot.

"We've always been proud and passionate about what we do and now this shines through with the 100% British messages. That's why I wanted to be in this ad and hold the board at the end because we really are proud to work for Bernard Matthews Farms". Victoria
